Thanks loader you understand what i mean, ive been sitting here for a week looking for solutions contacting anyone there is to help me. No one has helped me the most help i got was from apple who told me to run it in terminal and they gave me a bunch of commands to run so that terminal causes java to run properly as the 1.8 and not 1.6 version.
All in All idk why it wont work here or on any mac that i have used. It didnt even work on my dell laptop why would it work on a supercomputer macbook.
Anyway id be very very happy if you can solve my issue or atleast guide me through it.
Im sorry for being rude but this is more than the 5th post and i just wanted to declare my issue.

Even so i have even gone into java settings via terminal to change it so that it uses 1.8 and not 1.6 whatever this issue is please elaborate on how i can fix it pleas i am desperate. I am a tekkit moderator on the server i play on and i have to get back in before my staff rights are terminated

IN the crash report the report states that my Jdk is 1.8 and even so, i use terminal for
cd
cd downloads
java -jar technic-launcher-latest.jar
~this launches tekkit under java 1.8, So it is forced to run with that.

Sorry i wrote more than 5 forums posts and ive been going everywhere trieng to fix the issue. Its not on macs only my dell laptop wont work either and it has java 1.8 too
i updated and my version is 1.8

yeah its an issue for mac users aswell again go to that link and click the green button to raise its awareness. In your case i can solve your issue provided you help me with mine by clicking the green button on that link then pm me after you're done, i know whats wrong in your case.

i tried it, but it still crashes me on mojang screen, i have made a topic and a bug report.
i am a mac user and have latest java installed

i think you have an illegal item in your inventory is it from a custom modpack or is it a item that is rendered as something that can crash your game.

i andrew have a mac and the new tekkit and technic launcher for 1.2.8d (latest build)
IT WORKS FOR YOU WINDOWS GUYS but not for us who use mac. Almost everyone, my friends and my family who play tekkit cant play because they all own macs and the damn thing crashes on the mojang screen. Id appreciate it if there is a new hotfix for the hotfix to fix the hotfix.

There is an issue with this fix. The mac users can not play tekkit and it crashes on the mojang screen. Even if we have the new java 7 latest it still causes the crash and there is nothing to prevent it.

Hi yes, there was a hotfix for the windows and linux users but not the mac users.
to raise awareness for this issue, i too also have the same issue, please redirect yourself to my bug report here is where we can raise awareness by clicking the green button which gains its popularity showing admins that we need another fix

there was no hotfix for the mac issue, there is no solution but to wait. or to get rid of all your mods.
the best thing for you all to do is to got o my report and click the green button, this will raise awareness for a hotfix to come up 1.2.8e or something like that. So best is click the link and click the green button if you want a fix to come up sooner.

hi im back, i had some good help before and got tekkit to work but now i have a new issue.
when running tekkit it wont launch at all. The launcher simply says:
Tekkit is at its latest version being 1.2.9B
