Anyone got tips as to what to research for tainted knowledge?

I used optifine just fine on technic 6, but can't seem to get it to work on 7. Any thoughts? Could it be added in a future build? Even if you can run it smooth on far and fancy, you can get more rendering with optifine, and see even further.
