My friend had the same error and I was trying to help him. Finally I have figured out the error (by looking at wireshark responses) and it came up as Certificate not yet valid. This is simply that you cannot connect for some reason to Minecraft authorization servers. The reason my friend was not able to connect is because his date on his PC was set to 2004 rather than 2014 and that's why the SSL certificates weren't valid and he couldn't connect.
This is a possible solution, so please check your system time to make sure it is correct.
