really unhelpful. I bring home the laptop. And I can use it for homework and other things, too reason why minecraft was blocked originally is because people used it at school during class.

I do, do work at school lol. I am at home and want to play minecraft. How about heres a tip. be helpful.

School computer, and they directly blocked anything that runs the actual coding for the original minecraft launcher. So because technic runs the programs off of website and loads it in to make it work, it ends up not being able to be blocked.

I noticed that the vanilla platform is now on 1.7.9 but the one for technic pack has it on 1.7.5, if there is a way to just update it myself that would be nice. But I can't get the regular minecraft launcher which is why I am on technic pack mainly.

Its called be unselfish .-. I am trying not to force him to lower it, and what if lowering it messes up what he has already done to the current version of the server. Or there is something not available in the lower version. So is there a way to customize my launcher so it supports it? I am using a Mac also.

Already pointed out to him what the issue is, he is hosting for multiple people so its not like he will lower the version just for me.

Yeah, after a closer inspection at craftbukkit (since I never heard of it) I found out that the 1.7.8 version is unsupported because of the fact the version is not the most stable version at this time. Would there be any way to customize the vanilla pack in my launcher to have it supported?

Hey well, I am just posting for a quick fix help. I am using a MAC and I do not have access to the actual minecraft launcher. So I use Technic, now I can go on to a server easy with it on vanilla and all but I can't see to join this one server. It says my version is outdated, though I could of sworn it updated 2 days ago when I was using minecraft. I wouldn't know any specifics on how to fix it myself so I was hoping for either, someone to ask me some questions and see if they know what I need to do or they already have seen this problem before. Also the server is a friends but it does not have a white list or anything extra to it, the server ping bar say "Craft bukkit 1.7.8 X" to it meaning I can't use it. Then says outdate client, I also tried to redownload Technic.
