now we dont have Balkon's Weapon Mod and Forestry T_T
We have Iron Chest mod (useless useful crap )
Crafting Table III instead of II (same thing as CTII but with a few tweaks)
added Tubestuff (adds a protect table redpower compatible and a few minor stuff)
and all the mods are updated to MC 1.2.5 so they all have new features

Possibly a better idea would be to have a stickied list of plugins/mods that are tekkit compatible, and just give instructions on how to install them, instead of asking the dev team to put mods in. I for one prefer having the core forge mods (RP2/BC/RC/IC2) yet disable EE. I'd prefer they not jam pack the modpack with a lot of mods. That being said, I would like to put Mo' Creatures, and Xie's farming mod on.
the problem with that you cant make the server Owner install these mods (and even if the server owner like the mod he cant add it because is not part of tekkit and he will lose a lot of people that dont know how to install mods properly (in small servers is not a big issue but in bigger servers cant do that because the bigger servers usually need some cash to stay up and they can't afford loosing players

@ Jargen: People who want to mass-produce UU-Matter (im talking of about 1 UU-Matter per Sec) need A LOT of energy. So guess how many lava-generators need to be feeded to achieve that...
1 UU per sec is a little too extreme, but with a nice geothermal plant you ca generate tons of energy

How do you keep the nether loaded without being there though? does chunk loaders (Teleport Tethers / Railcraft Anchors) now load both "worlds" ?
you can just be near there..stay afk....go play some diablo 3 and come back later to take your UU

if you attach a mass fabricator in the Nether geopower farm you will have endless UU Matter

Iron chests are useless? They're great! You can put chests next to each other now, and you can make something the alchemical chest with less hassle. I love iron chests. Also, Balkon's was a bit OP. A blunderbuss could dominate someone, even if they had quantum/ red matter armor. Crafting table III can actually build things further down the crafting line. Example: You have the supplies to make a wooden gear, and the supplies to upgrade it up to a diamond gear. You don't have to click wood gear, then stone gear, then iron gear, etc. etc., you can go straight to diamond gear.
they are just chest with more room....nothing really interesting.. -.-U but dont get me wrong...those chest are useful but....i think they could add something better instead -.-U
and Balkon Weapons mod is not OP at all...you can't even kill someone with nano armor using a full stack of musker rounds....btw....quantum = creative

epersonaly i'd like the ability to be guarented that our stuff won't be destroyed instantly and a way to at least start up some machines (maybe a single energy collecter, a transmutation tablet diamond and klien star)
the abbility to choose a path way or mix it up (more magicy starter set, more techy starter set, and an even starter set)
stuff like that
diamond a klien star as starter items are you insane? that would kill all early game ¬_¬
well following that logic i think a great server should have a starter castle (9x9 chunks) all by yourself and a starter kit with all the machines a stack of copper cables and 4 diamond blocks
well derping apart...
a good server should have some things to be considered
1.-A nice spawn, not a very big one but nice impresive to give a warm welcome to the newcomers
2.-EE Disabled, i personally hate EE because is a great mod, but just as a stand alone... with other mods like IC it becomes totally unbalanced
3.-Rules that Encourages PvP and raiding, just take a look on Terranovo's Rules list (check in the Deluxe Servers section)
4.- Not overpowered ranks (besides mods of course) i dont wanna be playing and find some guy flying around just because he pays real money
5.-RP PvP Survival oriented server, i dont like creative servers, they look awesome but ghaterng resouces is what makes Minecraft great
6.- OP armors/weapons disabled. To grant a meaningful and fair PVP you need to get rid of Nano armor quantum and nano saber, with a Quantum armor you are practically inmortal and with Nano armor the nano saber kills you with 2 hits, that's not PVP at all
7.- Daily events like mob arena just to keep user who already reach endgame to have fun =P

Description of Problem:i heard that you can solve the offline forced error deleting all the .tenchinclauncher and downloading a fresh launcher version... i try it but when the launcher is downloading the tekkit files it suddenly say "Download Failed" i tried several times but always have the same problem in some part of the progress bar i think i have no internet issues because im posting this right now and the download failed again

sorry for the double post
i tried downloading the tecnnic pack launcher again and when i tried run the tekkit (downloaded by the launcher) it have the same problem...a white perpetual screen :'( :'(
btw here is the log with the clean start

Description of Problem: There was an update to tekkit, I downloaded it, and now I am getting white screens once I click login but just happens on tekkit.....the SMP works just fine....

This hat is old. someone posted this trick last week.
I hope that people read this, but i doubt they will. I'd suggest you change the topic to something less antagonistic though.
Also, i applaud you for doing your own work rather than begging other people to do it for you.

Hi people i just wanna comment that i finnaly was able to install a mod in the technic pack with the technic launcher and all =)
how i did it? well just go to Romaing Folder (where is the .minecraft) and you will see the .techniclauncher folder go there, then go to technicssp and then to the bin folder and you will find a minecraft.jar and a modpack.jar open both and put the class files there in BOTH folders
and that`s all
of course...not all mods will work for obious reasons (the unholy block ID conflict) but i was able to install a very veryy usefull mod called "Death Chest" (When you die, if you have a chest in your inventory, it will be placed where you die, or in the closest available spot. The chest will be filled with as many items as possible.) it dont add a block id so it works just perfect ^.^
so if you wanna test your luck and trying install any other mod with the technic pack you can try this way it may work =)
PD: My native language is spanish so im sorry if i had a bad english

damn this is hard... :'(
but hopefully it will change in the incoming Minecraft 1.2 since the Block ids have been increased to 4096 i guess i can play without any other mods since them

hi everyone, first i thanx for making this awesome modpack the best modpack ever...
anyways...besides i really love this modpack i wanna put some other mods in it (like Xie Farmimg mod or elemental Creepers) but i dont know how because the launcher dont edit the .minecraft folder so i dont know where put the class files....can you people help me? ;)

i would personally hate that.....i just hate modern weapons, that would make all the melee weapons useless...
i do miss the weapons mod but i think they still can add another mod to fill that hole in future updates....
