  1. I've allowed the java.exe, minecraft.exe, and technic launcher.exe to my firewall exceptions; i've done clean installs of each program; I've tried using the .jar instead of the .exe. Still, evertime I try and use the minecraft or technic launcher with Java 7 it behaves as if I don't have an internet connection. Any other suggestions as to what might be going on? Edit: I have tried running a tekkit server using java 7 while running my launcher using java 6 but I'm not able to connect to the server due to a java socket error. I assume this is because i'm using 2 different versions of java. If someone has a workaround to this that would be appreciated also.
  2. While this is true it is not a good solution. I also can't run technic launcher unless I use Java 6; but you can't operate a tekkit server without Java 7 due to IC2 (advanced machines i think). I haven't seen anyone provide any suggestions on helping the many I've seen who can't run the technic launcher with Java 7.
  3. I uninstalled Java 6 but I'm still unable to connect using either launcher (technic or vanilla).
  4. I have the same problem. Launcher version: 1.0.1.1 Operating System: Windows 7 (64 bit) Java Version: I have both 7 and 6 (64 bit) Description: The technic launcher and minecraft launcher are unable to connect to minecraft.net when using Java 7. If I start with a bat file directing to Java 6 then they connect just fine. If it works with Java 6 could it be a firewall issue? When I check the firewall allowed programs list all java options are allowed. Is there anything else I can check?
  5. When I have Java 7 installed I'm unable to connect to minecraft.net using the technic launcher or the minecraft launcher. Using only Java 6 i'm able to connect but I can't run a tekkit server due to the IC2 error. Started the launcher with a bat file directing to Java 6 and it works, but unable to connect to the Tekkit server.
