Was attempting to provide more information. The issue is not with my machine Firewall as it is turned off. I suppose it could possibly be with the router Firewall that is provided by AT&T but to be honest, if regular Minecraft can log in and Technic can't, I think the problem is not a Firewall issue.

aaaand.....it's now back to the same problem after it was working. Again, I can definitely use vanilla minecraft and log in via minecraft.net, but NOT when using the Technic Pack (it worked a total of 1 time)

Odd thing happened. I went and got a version of the Launcher from the Yogscast site, version 0.5.4.9 (I think) and it connected fine. Then after it connected suddenly the 1.0.xxx version Launcher works. So that was odd.

I'm noticing that there a lot of posts about this issue. Most of them seem to be related to Windows and people talk about Firewalls or Virus scanners. I should note that I am definitely on OS X and I have no virus scanner or Firewall running (excluding the one on the router) but I can get to minecraft.net fine as a website or when logging in with vanilla Minecraft. Soo.....I don't think those are the issues.

I just downloaded the Technic launcher. Haven't touched Minecraft in weeks but did a Force Update on it and launched Minecraft fine (including logging in to the Minecraft.net servers). When I try to Login with the Technic Launcher I repeatedly get "Unable to authenticate account with Minecraft.net" Minecraft lets me do it just fine, but not the Technic Launcher. Any advice? (I'm on OS X, with OpenJDK 7 and all system updates installed)
