I have been trying to download the launcher for on and off for about a week now and i have finally had enough and cant take it anymore and must post a question (because i have been looking around and trying things but they aren't working so i came back here to post this question.
*So far i have tried*
- Installing Java 64-bit
- Installing the Launcher JAR/EXE (0.5.4.6)
- Went to %appdata%/.techniclauncher and open the JAR file which also instantly crashed with what looked like a Command Prompt screen for 1/2 a second

What is you computer's specifications?
And could you please go to the logs folder in .techniclauncher and post the newest log (it should be: launcher_0) to http://www.Pastebin.com?

Go to (yourusername)/appdata/roaming/.techniclauncher/technicssp/config then open NEI.cfg and edit:
"lock_recipe_mode=true" To Look Like:
"lock_recipe_mode=false"
Also I Highly Recommend That You Bookmark Or Read "Common Problems And Their Solutions" It is in the Technic launcher topic.

hi i need help with my technic launcher it refuse to install itself. i have degraded my minecraft to 1.1 and i download the client. it is downloading the files but when the install screen is supposed to come up it just stands technic launcher and nothing happens
pls help me its very enoying beause me and some friends wanna play this awsome modpack and i have fixed a server that works but now i cant play the actual game
i had this mod before then i removed it but im hunger for more science
There is no installer anymore there is just the launcher! So You don't have to upgrade your minecraft.
And could you go to your appdata/roaming/.techniclauncher/logs folder and upload the newest log to pastebin ??? ? It should end in a "_0" (Without Quotes). If you don't know how to get to appdata/roaming just go to run (Win key + R) and type %appdata%" (without the quotes)

Try Re-installing Java If that doesn't work try Java 6!
BTW, I did my research and its a java VM Error.

I like the ad idea! I think that you could have one ad for people to have, for example an ad space for about $10 a month or something like that, seeing that technic is super popular it would benefit both!
And obviously you'r going to have some idiot post a post with the title "[PETITION] REMOVE THE ADS!!!1 TROLOLOLOLO!1!!11" :-\

the bit at the side of the screen when you go into invventory
was you press the 'R' key for the recipe for the item? Or the 'U' key for uses?
I dont seem to have zeppelin mod?
Zeppelin mod wasn't installed in technic 6/tekkit 2!

install it in modpack.jar not minecraft.jar because the launcher loads modpack.jar over minecraft.jar

Sharky, Have you tried downloading at an earlier date?
It might not have worked at that date because minecraft was down all day!
