ok well when i click the java se binary this java installer comes up so i click install and it installs and that long thing that i posted previously about WIndows installer for some reason

i use the .jar from the home page like the download on the side.. but when i download JRE the installer goes into my downloads right? ok but when i try to find the actual JRE the one i downloaded when i click on the installer i cant find it but when i find the JRE its a folder and the 2 things that are in it are bin and lib but those are files and obviously you cant run a file so i dont know what to do? im sure im just doing something wrong im not super good with java and stuff..

Ok so nightkev.. i think your right but where do i go to use the actual java and not the installer?

sadly.. we were talking about the same .jar... so now when i open the .jar now a java installer comes up and i just click install and then it goes away and nothing happens..

1. Download JRE 2. Download .jar from home screen 3. Go to the .jar file and click "open with" 4. Choose default program 5. Choose JRE 6. Run it 7. Little screen pops up "do you want to allow this program to make changes on your computer 8. Choose yes 9. An administrator pop up comes up and mysterious post describes what it says

ok so i need to download JRE but i cant seem to find a website for downloading it... Ive gone to oracle but all theirs say java SE. so if you don't mind would you put a link to a legitament JRE download

ok so it turns out i was using javaws but now my question is hoe do i use just regular java?

Ok so how do I know if I'm using javaws instead of regular java? And if I'm using javaws how do I switch over to regular java??

I've Tried running the .jar I've redownloaded it and all that stuff many times.. I've disabled my firewall I've disabled my virus protector I've reinstalled java multiple times I've read the stickies for any solutions.. Come up short every time.. I don't remember any others right now but I'm sure they'll come to me in time.. Thank you for all your help that you've given so far its very appreciated.

so when i first press "details" on the failed .jar run its a bunch of random symbols and theres about a million of em so i didnt want to copy and paste that... but when i click"exception this is what it says... Hello once again.. Yes. I have read the stickies and none of the solutions seem to fix the problem I use a 64 bit windows Yes I have the most updated version of java 7 I use Microsoft security essentials When I download and run the .exe version of the launcher it flashes "checking launcher version and closes out.. I'm sure you've heard this before.. Yes I have also tried running the .jar and when I try to run that it says "unable to launch application" Listen I'm sure most of the people on technic forums are Having the same porblem and seriously.. I'm getting impatient I've tried everything and gotten nothing.. All I'm asking for is a reason/solution.. Please help me.. I'm desperate
