I finally for a Tekkit 3.0.4 server up and running and noticed that Weapon Mod is no longer there. Is there any chance of it making a come back?

Dang man, it really added a lot of variety to what we could use to beat things to death and made the game a lot better. Oh well, maybe the devs can find a good substitute for it. Lack of variety in weapons makes the game seem boring for some reason.
