I'm running 10.6.8

Today I learned, due to my 2011 MacBook that can't update any further, I run Java 6 which doesn't support Technic or ATLaucnher. So what I am asking is: Can I install these mods into my "mods" folder by copy/pasting? For example: I go to my Technic folder, get into the modpack folders, and copy/paste all the mods. Would that work? All answers appreciated! Thanks!
