Have you tried just waiting a bit? The Mojang splash screen is where all the mods are initialized, so if your computer is slower (like mine! xD), it will sit on the Mojang screen for sometimes up to a minute (It's not THAT long, guys. ). haha

Me too! And to be honest, I'd like if they added the option to play on old builds of Technic, as well. I miss playing with Tale of Kingdoms! haha

Yeah, I know, but at the same time, they essentially just have a .minecraft folder for technic and one for vanilla that the launcher accesses, so I don't see how it would be too terribly difficult to make it gain access to more folders, even if through a config file. (Then again, I know crap about java. lol)

I'm a graphic designer. Not a problem. I actually had put BTW in its own folder, added all of the same files that were in the other folders, made a picture for it, added it to the modpack file, etc. and it still didn't work... that's when I came here. haha

Well, I'm playing around with the Profile Manager, and I''m kinda not liking the whole a launcher for a launcher deal when with the batch, I could just click an icon and open the main MC launcher. Although it is nice to use the manager to test snapshots! I guess it's just a personal preference. I like the idea, but it feels redundant, and that annoys me. I like technic's launcher because you log into the launcher itself... much simpler that way. haha So Admins!!!! You should put custom modpack support into the launcher! I really love the way it handles things, especially with the cool little pictures and all. Please??? :P

For anyone interested, this is how you accomplish what I have done: 1: Install the mods you'd like to have installed to the .minecraft folder 2: Copy the entire .minecraft folder (KEEP THE NAME THE SAME!!) into a different folder of your choosing 3: Open Notepad and paste in this: set APPDATA=%CD%\ start %CD%\minecraft.exe 4: Save this file to the folder you put your modded .minecraft (but not IN .minecraft) as a batch file (change file type to "all files" and change ".txt" in the filename to ".bat" 5: Run or make a shortcut to this batch file to play your modded Minecraft, and you can revert your actual .minecraft folder back to defaults! I don't have a mac, but the same Minecraft Forums thread says this: Move your minecraft folder to a place you like and create a symbolic link to it. Copy to Terminal: ln -s then drag the minecraft folder from the new location to the Terminal window. Next, copy ~/Library/Application\ Support to the Terminal window and hit enter. If you'd like to make custom icons, check out IcoFX. (And it's portable!)

On a semi-related note, I did find a way to open minecraft from the non-default folder (using a batch file), but for some reason, BTW isn't loading into the game... I don't understand that part. lol EDIT: I figured out why the mod wasn't loading properly... So anyway, I now have different icons for different mod packs, but it's still not in the nice technic launcher as I'd like.... Maybe I'll make my own launcher of launchers in AHK or something. xD

Well I hadn't intended on sharing them, I just love how they leave my actual .minecraft folder untouched, and it speeds things up considerably. At the moment, I'm running BTW in .minecraft, and then I have technic and vanilla in .techniclauncher, so it's pretty much like having 3 games for the price of 1! :)

I looked around a bit, but I didn't really see anyone asking this... What would need to be done to add another dedicated folder for a specific modpack in my .techniclauncher folder so that technic launcher can launch it? (updating isn't necessary...) Long story short, is there a way to add my own custom modpack to the launcher menu? (Basically, I want to put a MC loaded with Better Than Wolves into the launcher menu)
