I am a little nervous about downgrading to java 7. How easily would i be able to re-install java 8? Also I have a windows Vista, would that effect anything?

I have tried running and administrator and didn't run still. How would i downgrade to java 7 and what effect would it have on my computer?

i have tried to run the techic launcher recently. It used to run perfectly about a few months ago, but now when i try to run it, nothing comes up. If you have any suggestions that would be amazing. thx.
