  1. OpenAL32 was the problem, I deleted it, then threw your stuff into the Tekkit bin folder. The game then came right on! Though now I have another problem. When I start a new world, it appears all the textures are see through. I want to guess this might be an easier one to solve. I'll tinker around with it, but I'm throwing it out now in case any of you know how to fix that fast.
  2. Implying I wasn't asking a question^ I did search the forums, and Google. Might I make it apparent that the only reason I'm on here is because I don't have any idea how to fix this problem?
  3. Anxious to get this problem solved. Can I talk to the forum admin or somebody who knows how to fix this?
  4. Just going to say now, again, that my problem is still not solved.
  5. I also have this same problem, and my thread got no helpful responses in the last week so far. Link to my thread: http://forums.technicpack.net/index.php/topic,10649.0.html
  6. A few times, I have re-installed it twice trying to locate the problem. I'm not sure if downgrading to an older version would solve the problem or not, because I have friends who have the Technic Launcher working with the most recent Java. What ever the problem is, it's not an obvious fix. This situation especially sucks because my friends have a server going for Tekkit right now, and I'm really interested in getting some play time in.
  7. You computer illiterate idiot, that only works if you pray to Vishnu, the Computer Deity.
  8. Tried that yesterday. Thanks for the suggestion.
  9. I have the same problem, I can't figure out why everybody on here is so incredibly unhelpful. http://forums.technicpack.net/index.php/topic,10649.0.html <- My forum post about the issue.
  10. I wouldn't have posted this if I didn't already do that. Thanks for the suggestion.
  11. Launcher/pack Version: Technic Launcher - 1.0.1.3 Operating System: Windows 7 Version of Java: 64 bit Description of Problem: Everything works fine, but when I login to try and play, it displays the "Mojang" screen of Minecraft, then freezes and closes. I then get an error report saying "Fatal error" Antivirus program: Norton (I turned off the entire thing a few times while trying to fix the problem, the problem is not Norton) Error Messages: # # A fatal error has been detected by the Java Runtime Environment: # # EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION (0xc0000005) at pc=0x6ceb2d02, pid=7044, tid=6092 # # JRE version: 7.0_04-b22 # Java VM: Java HotSpot Client VM (23.0-b21 mixed mode windows-x86 ) # Problematic frame: # C [OpenAL32.dll+0x32d02] alcProcessContext+0x26c80 # # Failed to write core dump.
