  1. Edit NEI.cfg, and change lockmode=-1 to either 0 (recipe mode only) or 1 (tool use mode, tools as defined in config file).

Sorry to necropost, but could you clarify Torezu (or anyone else)? chicken_bones post does not specify how to use any of the modes from the config file. What is the difference between '-1', '0', and '1' with regards to the lockmode line? Any ideas how that relates to the cheatmode line above it?

  2. Nope, mod selection on a server is just removing the mods from the server's mods file, and single-player selection works the same way. Just don't update afterwards, and be aware that removing, say, RedPower Core without removing all the peripherals will cause problems.

Right, right. Excellent. Are we to assume that button will be disappearing in the next incarnation of the launcher?

  3. You can mod select. It just involves deleting the mods you don't want. The ones that are integrated into modpack.jar are no more selectable than they used to be, though.

I thought deleting non-essential mod packs would lead to a game crash. Huh. I'm also assuming that the launcher/ Forge Mod Loader doesn't draw from a document of what's activated/ not activated like the previous one that handled what the players wanted.

  4. athazagoraphobia what does it feel like to be a fuckin idiot

With regards to...? I was under the impression that everything was in accordance with the rules...?

Of course, if there is something wrong that someone would like to point out, I'd appreciate a PM or something.

  5. Ok new question, I was playing at school installed java 7 and then it would load to the 2 mark and just crash. How do I fix?

I pay taxes, and instead I get Minecraft. Fine and dandy, but Technic Pack on a USB won't clean me when my bowels let go at the ripe age of 98.

Stay in school. Don't drop out and become a Pokemon Trainer.

  6. did you use world edit or create this all by hand, if by hand- wow that's some dexterity you got there ;)

This other guy did a majority of the 'heavy lifting.' I used MCEdit.

I'm well aware of the Gates of Argonath. They Were hewn out of solid rock, but they are also ancient. Think Great Pyramids ancient, except in a less dry environment. There would definitely be some cracking and wearing, and considering their location on the river Anduin, there should be moss especially around their feet.

Welp...It's just wasted effort IMO. In a previous world, I had them underwater, but again, the problem is that it's so bloody large. Whoops.

  7. Very nice I like it ;) , *has strange craving for blueprints*

    Is that possible? Suckers huge.

But if it is, than I know I'd like to see a blueprint too. Editing it in isn't as much fun.

I don't even know how to make a blueprint of it. You tell me, I'll deliver. And yeah, huge. 38x85x119 I believe.

I feel like they could do with some details, using cobble, mossy, gravel and whatnot.

Well... From what I know of LOTR, the Gates are hewn out of solid rock. Two mountains, into two men. Feel free to add detail, although it's kinda wasted IMO with the fog and and the height coupled with the fact I'm working with a 1m^3 block. You want detail, you'll have to raise the height of the world or something.

  8. I had this on another MC site, but I thought you folks could use some eye-candy of epic proportions.

    *Ahem*

-This is a tall statue. You'll need to go down to bed rock.

-Portions of it are hollow. Which means that stuff will spawn inside of it, should you choose to make it your home.

-Use a world editor that uses schematic files to place it.

    (Down @ bedrock)
