The only solution i found is to deactivate the enderchest mod in the modloader cfg. I seems the modloader is not interested which id I put in the EnderChest.cfg. Either it changes back the value at every start from the server or (if I forbid write access to the file) it ignores the cfg.

I have no clue what causes this..

I already re-extracted it a couple of times. Everything is readable. I even got crazy and gave all files 0777. But it still crashes.

Edit:

Ok, thats crazy. The content of the EnderChest.cfg is:

#EnderChest Configuration File

#Deleting any element will restore it to it's default value

#Block ID's will be automatically generated the first time it's run





block.id=241



gui.id=165

When i change the id to 178 and start the server it crashes again and it changes the id back to 241 in the cfg.

???

It still crashes. It's nice to know, that the minecraft_server.jar is not needed, but this doesn't help to solve the problem.

Edit: To make things clear. I didn't launch the minecraft_server.jar. I start with the Tekkit.jar. The server jar was only in the same directory.

Ok, then the minecraft_server.jar is not needed. But this isn't part of the problem because I start with java -Xincgc -Xms2G -Xmx4G -jar Tekkit.jar.

I just thought the original server jar is needed in the same directory as it was before. But this doesn't effect the start.

I just copied the whole files to the server, downloaded the minecraft_server.jar and launched it with

screen -S minecraft java -Xincgc -Xms2G -Xmx4G -jar Tekkit.jar





Everything was fresh, no old worlds, no .. erm .. nothing.

Gave me this on the first startup (and on the next starts as well):
