    change the mod "nether ores" from .zip to .tgz....

    very simple all you have to do is go into the folder named "mods" and rename the railcraft mod from .zip to .tgz Hope this helped

    no trust me it does not require java 7 (I dont have it). I was having the same problem just rename tha .jar file to .tgz
