so i'm trying to run a private server for a few friends. i tried with a host and locally. but both result in it just simply not working.
when i extract the files i get 2 .jar files. and 1 start.bat
minecraft_server.1.6.4.jar launches a vanilla server
minecraft_server.jar creates ForgeModLoader-server-0.log.lck
serverstart.bat also creates ForgeModLoader-server-0.log.lck
a talk with the tech for the server host i'm trying to use said there are some files missing in the libraries folder.

Why do you want to join our server?: looking for another server. currently playing on gearz but between lag/crashes and as being down half the weekend. i'm looking for something new

Probably the single best tekkit server I've ever run into. It has only 25 slots, which is perfect because it doesn't mean there is endless spam. Idiots and noobies get weeded out by an excellent mod team as well as the outlands of raaaage. I love it.
rage indeed... yesterday i lost, Diamond drill, Lap-pack, jetpack to a zomebi in the outlands that seems to mysteriously 1 shotted me

i didn't think a higher difficulty tekkit server could sexist. this gives a whole new challenge to tekkit. those who think tekkit makes minecraft "easy" give this server a try. you'll be surprised! 20 hours logged in gameplay and i had JUST got a basic machine shop (gen and macerator)

no. its only me and 2 friends. and they havn't logged in OR have op to reload. they vanish right before my eyes. and its every single one. not just a sometimes thing

on a side note. i noticed the price of MK3s is skyrocketed since the recipe for redmatter had changed... its EMC is now over 700k. you can get 2 MK2s with some EMC to spare... so sadly looks like my star charger is going to consist of 33% more MK2s than a regular MK3 setup

Description of Problem:
just build a MK3 energy collector tossed in a bunch of coal. log back in next day notice everything is gone. i throw in another and watch. and just as the mobius fuel was suppose to upgrade. it eats it instead.
