Ah ok, ive never played multiplayer and i wanted to give it a go, which explains my stupidity, so where do I do what the instructions say?

How do I update tekkit? On the technic pack website it says Ive gone to the technic folder in appdata then into the tekkit folder, but I cant find a tekkit jar to replace, ive even searched for it using search function. What do i do? All help welcome and appreciated
