all i had had to do was allow the technic launcher updater through my windows firewall If you have already done this than 1.Open up control panel 2.Select System and Security 3.Allow a program through windows firewall 4.Click change settings and you should be able to browse and select the technic updater or the technic launcher By the way this is for windows 7 if you have any other versions of somesort hopefully there shall be similar instuctions

Well I fixed it for myself I feel very stupid about it.... Well that fixes that problem but how do you fix it so it wont freeze in the first place could someone help me please

Also quite annoying that the banner gets stuck on my screen until i restart my computer

did as you said i run the .batch file and the launcher just loads pops up its banner and it freezes there Please help i am very desperate to play this wonderful mod pack
