I installed technic on my laptop(its old and cant play minecraft on it) it got pretty much the same problem as my PC except it aloud me to select Yogbox and it updated, all other packs in that list wouldn't though.

Do i just copy and paste everything from the log into here? Cause its over 50000 letters and wont let me post it.

It seems as if the icon images on the left side failed to download. I'm still able to select each one. Once i enter my user name and password it begins downloading normally. But, at "100% Backied(<~~really says this) up previous build to "2012-07-02-05.04.07-backup.zip..." A popup appears saying Update Failed. Scrolling to the bottom option on the left side list(Vanilla Minecraft) Loads normally, the normal minecraft screen appears for single and multiplayer and options. All the others say Update Failed.

Ahh yes i forgot to add, i had Avira turned off for this. Will try opening the .jar and edit this post soon. Thanks. *Edit* Ok double clicking the .jar file worked (don't know why i didn't try that before >.<), Seems now i have the splash screen open but no mods on the left side to select, so i will check the threads again for answers and update here soon.

Launcher Version: 1.0.1.3 Operating System: Windows XP Professional (5.1, Build 2600) Java Version: JRE 1.7u4 (32bit version) Antivirus Program:Avira Antivir Personal (Updated Daily) Description of Problem: It starts by saying 'Downloading Launcher 0 of 3' then immediately switches to Downloading xx% of launcher, It looks like it only hits 94% before closing in not sure, since it jumps a lot i assume its hitting 100%, Then it closes. After that i try to open it again it says 'Checking Launcher Version' and closes. I read in the COMMON PROBLEMS AND SOLUTIONS Thread that its a Java problem, I used vanilla minecraft to determine i have 32bit by setting distance to far and receiving a red message and then downloading the 32x version from the link in main page. The only thing in that folder is the 'technic-launcher.jar' but you make no mention of what to do with it, Do i placing it into the bin folder of my vanilla minecraft or something? Error Messages: No error messages. Error Log: No error log, only 'technic-launcher.jar' in the techniclauncher folder.
