Ok, Guys. i know you get this alot, but me and a couple buddies were lookin at settin up a LAN server here in Afghanistan. Ive been fiddling around a bit with the server to learn, and decided to let a couple guys on to see how it runs. HOWEVER, it times them out everytime, and always either right when they join or like 2 minutes after...
here's the error i keep getting every time:

Oh, BTW, server is in offline mode, ip is assigned, ports forwarded and firewalls open, and running on 3G of memory on startup

Got it working, Thanks Torezu. i though opti was already pre-loaded. Didnt even have to use MCPatcher this time, lol. Well, Have a great Fourth from all us Minecrafters in Afghanistan!!

So, i know there are plenty of thee threads out there, but none to my specific problem, so bare with me please.
I have installed both Sphax 32x and Glimmar's Steampunk in my texturepack folder according to the directions. Both are up to date as far as i can tell, and both support all technic mods. However, Sphax is greyed out, and Glimmar's will load the main menu in the pack, but white-screen when i try and load a map.
Please help, and thank you in advance, guys.

OS: Windows 7 HP
Java Version: Java 7
Description of Problem:
Game Crashes when breaking an 'activated' yet not linked landmark. It happened several times and tested it. When i place a land mark then right click it, then break it, it crashes entire client with crash report.
Also, im running 0.5.3, but theres no option in the dropbox in the report page
