when you load into your world in technic there is a bar that goes along the top of your screen. if you go into that menu and highlight all of the blocks (there is a simple double clicking the first option will highlight all of the groups) they will appear in your not enough items.

the Launcher jar works with windows 7. its a jar file which means it runs off of java

you dont need to know how to code anything, if you download the Launcher exe and it doesnt work, download the Launcher jar that is directly under the exe and it should open fine.

when i went in to options on the launcher and cleared my cache it worked better. NOTE: this also deletes your items in the EMC tablet thing
