just downloaded newest launcher still no luck with same logs dont think i am meant to play technic :|

ive got the problem, to get rid of the logo start the Task Manager (Ctrl + Alt + Del) and in the processes tab should be Java.exe. end that process and the banner gone. as for fixing it you will have to wait for a mod or someone that knows what they are doing to come on. have you tried all the stuff in the Common problems thread?

just a thought, is there a way of editing the code in the JAR file to bypass the banner and straight to the launcher?

Ive allowed it through Windows Firewall and Norton... just edited the logs because they have changed...looks like the logs are loading the launcher form? but it is not showing.

i did try the BAT file with the mk line as well dont work either i assume its something to do with the path ?

just manged to get a screen print of the command box when i try to run the JAR file in the folder... 'Error: Could not find or load main class C:\Users\Packard Bell\AppData\Roaming\.techniclauncher\technic-launcher.jar

in the BAT file i get "unable to access jar file"

Launcher Version: Latest Operating System: WIndows 7 Home Premium 64 bit Java Version: 7u5 64bit Antivirus Program: Norton 2011/2012 (tried it with no AV still didnt work) Description of Problem: Ive tried all of the fixes seen in other threads, ive checked the fixes in the official page and none work. Before anyone says its my AV its not. i tried it with no AV installed and it didnt work, ive tried it on my dads laptop with exact same AV and it worked. Ive tried the launcher it flashes and disappears, Ive tried running the JAR file i get a flash of a command box and then nothing. Ive tried many different times and i was getting banner freezes but now i dont even get that. I have tried the BAT fix doesnt work. In .technicpack all that is there is the JAR file no logs nothing. Seriously need sorting this! Error Messages: Error Log: No folders there

tried it without any AV and still didnt work..doesnt even freeze on banner just get a black command box flash and then nothing

dont believe this...just downloaded the Launcher on my dads sh*t laptop and it worked first time! dont have minecraft installed on there because it lags like a b**ch. only difference really is that has Norton 2011 and i got Norton 2012 free upgrade so i will try to roleback to 2011

ive searched for solutions ive asked here...every solution given didnt work. Ive disabled AV allowed launcher through firewall, changed BAT file nothing works

didnt manage to fix my problems though did it? and noone else seems to know

ive never known something so dodgy. theres obviously a serious problem with the launcher if hundreds of people are having the same problem. In your case try uninstalling a version of java so there is just one on your PC.

Does anyone know how to fix the fatal error?

now minecraft is completely broken. I tried everything from scratch so i deleted .minecraft, java, techniclauncher from my pc. Downloaded Java and minecraft and now when i log in to minecraft it says 'Fatal Error Occurred (4): Permission denied: connect'

yer i allowed it both the launcher..5 times and the jar file once. Once it is installed will it play nicely with Norton? or will it continue to play up unless i have a different AV. My Norton expires in a month and i get a good deal if i update it but if i install the mod in between installing the new AV will it work once i install the new AV? Minecraft 1.3 will be out so i wont need to update that soon after. What about McAfee? are there many reported problems with that?...never mind looked at reviews and removal is poor

that opened up the launcher..but it froze like usual dont look like its going to work on this PC. Ive turned everything off on Norton but it still dont like it. hopefully there might be an update in the future that might make it be nice with AV.
