We just broke ground on the metropolis city zone and we've been at it all day. So tired and need a rest, but we're liking what we've started in this new city...

Project you plan to build: I feel like a Mage or Wizard district or perhaps college would be a great addition to your server, but I'm more than willing to attempt any number of builds anybody requests.
Minecraft experience: I've had Minecraft for since I got my new laptop last Christmas, since my old one couldn't run it for some reason, however I have been playing it for well over two years at my friends house.
Tekkit experience: Whilst I only got Tekkit recently I have used some of the Mods within the pack individually, the one I use most would be EE.
Why you want to join the server I'm so sick of large servers with lists of banned items, it drives me insane. Also your server seems to have a nice community so I imagine griefers are a not a problem which they are for many other small servers, therefore combining the best of both worlds.
I've been following the thread when time has permitted but there really hasn't been time to properly respond. While I admire your persistence and enthusiasm we have to decline your application. One of our criteria in evaluating potential players is the strength of the FIRST application they post in the thread.
When a player posts what you originally have above here, it shows that they didn't read the entire advertisement. I didn't give specifics about what content we were looking for in an application, but I mentioned it had to have enough substance to it that we could identify the type of player you are, both style and personality, so we could determine if you would fit in with the existing player base and what our goals are on the server. I said that one or two sentences would not get you accepted, and that was EXACTLY what you gave us.
If you didn't really read the advertisement, it gives the impression that you read only the parts you cared about (such as server details and plug-ins), but you didn't bother to read what we were looking for in a player. As such you couldn't sell yourself properly to us in order to get an invite.
In the future, read the entire advertisement thoroughly. Get an idea of what the server admins are looking for an expect from a player and then put your best foot forward. Present yourself in that fashion and the servers will open up for you.

Has this server stopped accepting new players?
We are still accepting new players. It's just going to take an exceptional application to get you in. Every time we lower our standards and take a so-so app we find that the player just doesn't live up to expectations.
We're also getting to a point where we're going to make Teamspeak and a microphone REQUIRED for joining the server. We want social players who want to get involved in what's going on and what we're thinking of building. Most of that is discussed in our Teamspeak channel and if you're not in it, you really don't have a good idea of what's going on.
Being in our Teamspeak channel also helps us discourage griefing. Most griefers operate under their 'anonymous cloak' where all you have is a game name and nothing else. But if you're in a voicecomms channel talking with the rest of the server members, you're not so anonymous.

IDED gets a free pass as we had a great time on that server, and he's a stand-up guy.

WookieCraft Building Spotlight of the Week
NOU Brew (Brewery / Bar)
With Tekkit allowing us the ability to brew beer and distill rum, we couldn't pass up the chance to build a factory dedicated to its production.
And of course if you have a distillery, why not make the first level a Cheers-type bar with all the cozy comforts like a fireplace and pool table.
And most certainly, if the Wookie wants to sample the beer....you let the Wookie sample the beers.

Home of compass72 (The Dude) & El_Draco (The Wookie)
What began as a private server to experiment with all things Tekkit has now become open to the public for a limited time. We're looking for mature, social players with a good sense of humor that have some creative muscle they'd like to flex.
Our goal on this server is to establish a network of various themed towns, utilizing all the new features that Tekkit has to offer in order to create something truly jawdropping.
Projects that are currently underway:
The rustic, industrial town of Compassburg (Wookie's idea on the name).
A quiet, coastal farming village (by emmalikesthings, Resys, and Reaper).
Projects on the horizon:
A modern, metroplis-themed city where the buildings routinely cut through the cloud layer.
A fantasy-themed city full of castles, dark towers and whatever else the imagination comes up with.

Server is up 24/7 however there is a daily, 15 minute maintenance window from 11 PM EST - 11:15PM

Server Rules
#1 Bad behavior is not allowed. No griefing will be tolerated.
#2 Always check with an administrator before beginning a building project of any type. Quite often a quarry or destruction catalyst can obliterate something you just didn't know was there.
We also tend to zone out in advance the overall layout of these towns and make notes as to where certain residential, industrial, recreational and commercial areas are going to go. So become part of the planning mechanic rather than just go off on your own and build something contrary to the spirit or theme of the area.
Finally, since Tekkit is resource intensive we have to constantly monitor server performance and balance that against how many people we allow access to. We also have to keep one eye on the future, and what a new factory or other automated device will have on performance.
So to that end we are going to be very selective in who we invite into our community, both to ensure our community stays welcoming, grief-free and friendly; as well as to maintain optimal server performance. We ask that you take your time and fill out the brief application below. Some tips to increase your chances of getting accepted:
1) Don't expect one or two general sentences to get you approved. We want to see enough substance in your application to tell us what kind of person you are, and what type of personality we would be inviting into our server. If you don't give us enough information to paint a clear picture of yourself, we won't take a chance on an unknown.
2) Don't say your bored. If you're bored of vanilla Minecraft, if you're bored of single player, if you're bored of your current server, then YOU'RE boring. Our server won't fix that. We're not looking to take on bored players. We're looking to take on players excited about being a part of our community, and excited about bringing ideas to life in Minecraft
3) Don't swear in your application. We don't like swearing on our server. This isn't an over 18 only server. We have kids here, and we don't tolerate bad language. We believe there's some very creative minds out there that just happen to be on the young side, so we want to offer an environment that's good for all players.

Sorry for the delays in approvals, people. We're seeing some lag on the server and I suspect someone created a machine with either overflow issues or a redstone timer set to redonkerous repeats. Once we get a handle on where the lag is coming from, we'll determine if we can bring more players on board.
