Well the techniclauncher is installed to my system but when i look in %appdata% .technicpack does not appear

Launcher Version: 1.0.1.3 Operating System: 64 bit operating system Java Version: java 7 Antivirus Program: none Description of Problem: When i click my version of the techniclauncher it says techniclauncher updater failed. i can open minecraft fine but really want to play technicpack.
