  1. Eh, no. Last time I checked, Equivalent exchange, mo creatures, and even most others were outdated, missing a lot of key bug fixes and updates. Dude, I have a short attention span when it comes to working on something, but thats only when it is worth it. So, I tried. The launcher just hates me. And being as I last saw Technic pack with several tons of glitches, and even freezing up at multiple moments, I decided to give up, and do it the hard way, which turned out to be the easier way. No more am I fooling with mod packs, I'll just get the mods. And why are you hating? I've done nothing to you, or shown off.
  2. Uhm, allow me to point out a few good points of my abilities. I've ben working with one computer on windows 7 for the past half year, and have seen every file, forward and back, edited the more important files manually, and nto ocne seen a problem with my computer. This puzzles even me, and I've never had a problem with it before. Instead of actually trying to get the technic pack to work, I went and picked out my favorite mods from teh damned thing, and installed them myself. If anything, I'd say it works better than before, considering the technic pack is outdated. (Last time I checked) And, if anything, it's just a bunch of mods in the "mods" folder in the .minecraft folder, running .jars, .zips, whatever they are. The technic pack is just so many mods put in at once, that it makes it look like it's overly intricate and complicated, yet, it's so simple! A total of three alterations have been done to my minecraft.jar file, and the rest is done through the mods folder. So, aye. I've had 'nough o' squabblin n' combatin this 'ere mod pack.
  3. ok, I got my brother to help (he is good with programming, and working with computers, and such), he explained that it could be an error with my system32, maybe a DLL file is missing. But no DLL errors come up. I have found that there was a .jar file hidden on my desktop (MOre or less hidden), nd have completely wiped it from my computer. Now, I am going to try and run the .jar again, if it doesn't work, I'm stumped.
  4. I'm getting absolutely nothing. Something had to have changed, being as I got to start it up, ownload the files, and even play for a few minutes before I exited out. But, then again, reset my desktop, so I'm downloading virus protection, music players, and such, something could've gone wrong and changed somethng. I looked up my PATH again, and noticed you said something about java.exe. everything in the environment variables is all ok-looking, but nothing has java.exe. My PATH variable even says this exactly: To tell the truth, it looked ALOT smaller than that. But, it's all I know which could be the problem, or have the problems, whatever. I now think that I am also missing something else, or skipped something in your step by step instructions.
  5. I'm guessing that is supposed to fix the problem with the command prompt? If so, it didn't work. It still says that 'java' is not a valid command. I'll try to update Java, and see is thats the problem. Thank you for the help though.
  6. Define system path variable, if you have the time. Because I really don't have much patience for anything, considering that I am already dealing with several computer problems already, as I just recently reverted my desktop to factory conditions. It was fun.
  7. java -Xincgc -jar C:\Users\Anthony\Desktop\technic-launcher-latest nogui Tell me if I'm doing something wrong, because everytime I type this in, it throws up: 'java' is not recognizable as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file.
  8. Why take the long way when I could just type in run, then cmd? Again, you are not helping. I've tried using what you gave me on the command prompt, the exact command, with teh correct address for the file, and it says it cannot perform the action or omething, invalid command. It's just useless information if you don't explain it.
  9. Ok, lets say this: I have never been able to use the .exe launcher, only the .jar launcher. When I use the .exe launcher it says, error: Checking launcher version: Can't find java directory. When I use the .jar file, well, it used to work, and has before. Opens the window saying that it's running java 7, displays 4 dot appearances, then it says an error: Unable to launch application. There is absolutely nothing that comes up as a command prompt! How the hell am I supposed to enter a command when I can't?! In fact, where the hell'd you get the command prompt from?!
  10. I have absolutely no idea how to do that. You have given me good instructions, which may or may not help, but you only give me a command, and don't tell me how to enter that command in, or where.
  11. Y'see, Ah'm havin the same problem. Ah find it a nuisance how I can't build my legendary architectural buildins that I actually worked for, and have the right to say, ah got material, ah got the ability. BTW, norton, I agree, is a virus/malware. I hate it's annoying notifications. McAfee ain't got much mroe on it, it can actually protect your computer partially, but for a $1 million. Go for AVG, no matter what anyone else says, or what any other program says, AVG literally is the best on the planet, besides what the japanese super geeks make to protect their own computers, and succeed to the point where there is fifty system locks. BAck on topic, this is what I have: Launcher Version: 1.0.1.3 Operating System: 64 bit Windows 7 Java Version: Java 7 Antivirus Program: AVG Description of Problem: Ah've opened it once before and played, but after that, it displays an error message. Error Messages: Unable to launch application. Error Log:
