Did you remove not enough items? If yes, reinstall it, removing this is a cause of bugs

With roommate i think u mean lan play? If lan, what ip are u trying to connect to? You should connect to localhost Your roommate should connect to your local ip Can be found by doning: Open run Type cmd hit enter Run ipconfig Your local ip starts with 192.168 Let ur roommate connect to that ip If not lan : is the port open? (25565) Hope this helps

Put a "z" in front of its name in the mod folder, it changes its launching order and gets loaded after the macerator is generating its recipes (thats the problem)
