Hi, I help moderate the forums, and you should really be less of an idiot. for your information, if a person can connect to other servers, nothing client side is blocking his connections in a general sense.
it's either you, or he has blocked your IP and only your IP on his end which would be impressive. however, instead of just ban you, if you want to provide some details of your setup I might just try and help you despite your deserving every inch of a ban.
how are you hosting this thing? what's your OS? what's your IQ? shoe size? what's your network setup like? using a router? hamachi?
I have the server running on my old macbook, still running mac os x. My network has 2 routers in it, one is a time capsule (which is a network hard disk and router in one box) and the other is a FiOS router. I believe the macbook is connected to the FiOS one directly rather than indirectly through the time capsule. I'm running the server directly via a port forward with no nginx or other reverse proxy. no hamachi.
instead of my shoe size and IQ, I figure some more useful information would be preferred. I managed to get my friend with a the proxy online at the same time as us and it worked perfectly through the proxy, just with some understandable network lag.

Hi, I run the server, and you should really be less of a fuck. For your information, xadobex is the only player not able to connect. I initially was sure it was my end until I had someone else connect to the server and it worked as expected. I then proceeded to write a little proxy script for him to run on his server as a test. It's just had to find a time when both people are on skype.

I just set up a private tekkit server and I want to let players spawn certain items like wooden tools, torches, food, etc. Is there a plugin I can use to allow the /give command for some whitelisted items for non-ops? maybe this would be better asked on the bukkit forums, but I don't want to try one and find out that it's incompatible.

how is it possible to disable mods on a server. I used to run a server with tekkit defaults, but I found the EE is very overpowered on multiplayer (I have nothing against it on singleplayer though). My old server began to feel like creative mode, how do I disable EE on a new server?
