  1. Well, couple things to check here. Does the motion dive work on it's own? Try disconnecting it from the rest of the ship. If it works, it's not your drive, it's one of two things:

One: frame motors cannot move more than 1000 blocks. This includes wires, pipes ect.

Two: you have a solid block somewhere causing it to get caught.

Also, a bit more info would be nice as well.

If the problem ends up being the frame limitation, you can change that in your config file I believe.

  2. So, i've done exactly what this told me to, but when i open the .bat file, the cmd screen comes up and says..

    C:\users\dj\desktop\tekkitserv>java -Xmx3g -Xms2g -jar Tekkit.jar nogui

Error ovvured during the initialization of VM

Could not reserve enough space for object heap

Error:could not create the Java Virtual Machine.

Error: A Fatal exception has occured. Program will exit.

Read through previous posts before you post a problem. That might help considering I and others have helped this problem multiple times before. Change the 3 and 2 in -Xmx3g and -Xms2g to match the amount of RAM you want to allow Tekkit to use. It can't be more than you have. If that doesn't work make sure you download a 64bit Java if you're on a 64bit OS.

  3. This isn't how to setup a Tekkit server this is how to fix some random bug. How the hell do I install a tekkit server so me and my friend can play on it? Any guide on that? >_>

I was actually thinking about making a guide that explains everything. But just look up how to portforward. Here's a site to help you http://portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/routerindex.htm I would explain it to you but it's different for everyone. To use the server make sure you download it from the tekkit page, make sure you and your friends are using the same version as the server, then run the launch.bat. Of course do this after you port forward and it should work.

  4. Either some of these people don't know how to use Google or they ACTUALLY live in the past -_-

Some people aren't super tech savvy. They are probably people who just want to play a game with friends but have never touched the actual components of a computer. And google sometimes doesn't help. Hell, I didn't know how to port forward for a good year after I got a router and that's without asking for help, not knowing what I'm doing, and using Google. It's like looking a an engine for a car or a plane with no prior knowledge of anything to do with it. You would be completely lost and wouldn't know where to start. Rather than getting aggravated with them, tell them what to do so they can then pass their knowledge on and so forth.

  5. Hello, I keep running into the problem of this

    RUN BATCH FILE

Java is not recognized as a internal or external command, batch file or operable program.

I did what was listed above but noticed my Path file looked like this

    %SystemRoot%\system32;%SystemRoot%;%SystemRoot%\System32\Wbem;C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Roxio Shared\DLLShared\;C:\Program Files (x86)\QuickTime\QTSystem\;;%SYSTEMROOT%\System32\WindowsPowerShell\v1.0\

There is even more to that. Any help?

(I'm currently running Windows Vista with 4gb ram and 64-bit OS)

    i get c:\users\NAME\desktop\tekkit sever> jave -Xmx3G -Xms2G -jar tekkit.jar nogui

'java' is not recongnized as and internal or external commend operable program or batch file.

and sya press any key to continue and shuts the whole thing down i cant start it at all

Refer to step 4 and 5 of the guide, that should help.

  6. It says in the forum post that Forge will interfere with the mod.

Minecraft Forge is NOT required to be installed for this mod to function (installing it separately will actually interfere with the proper functioning of this mod). However, the current release of BTW contains several Forge files as it is in the process of migrating away from that API.

I'd say it's just a matter of it being incompatible with other mods. Also, currently, it's not SMP compatible so it wouldn't really fit in a SMP mod pack.

  7. Okay the Server works for me but my friends cant join at all is there anyway to fix this?

Okay so i set up A 3.0.4 server just fine, but i have a problem with allowing others to connect. I assumed connection could be established through a network on hamachi using virtual ports and ip addresses but i've had no luck. Can i get a helping hand? My problem seems a lot less severe than many others. If it's a port forwarding problem, I'm not experienced enough with this kind of thing to take care of that on my own. A guide for dummies would be great. Any help really would be awesome thanks.

These are both probably Port Forwarding issues

Here is a link to some guides: http://portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/routerindex.htm

Just simply find your router brand (your router not your modem, learn the difference if you don't know) and then your router model then scroll down to the 'Minecraft Server' option.

Oh and I suggest you look into making a static local IP address while you're at it, otherwise you will probably need to port forward everytime you restart your computer(assuming you're using a computer and not a server).

Sorry if this ends up not helping.
