Sooo I just had my friend 100% copy his .techniclauncher folder to my pc- when i run it.. i see his log on and everything. but still the option only goes to 3.1.1 and on his pc he can see the 3.1.2. I try modifyin the modpack.yml in the launcher/tekkit/ folder. but as soon as i run the techniclauncer.exe it overwrites this file.

Ok just tested the jar. Glad you pointed this out as it runs 900% faster than the .exe. But this did not fix my problem. Still displays the same options. At the manual build selection i scroll to the top and the top most is 3.1.1. I tried using the arrow keys to select incase for some reason my resolution was keeping that option out of site but that didnt seem to be any help. Stumped still. Ill try to get the launcher from my friend and see if that helps. Also ill try removing any cached files on my hole pc.

Umm ok, Well i run the .exe not a shortcut. I deleted every downloaded launcher from previous downloads in-case for some reason google chrome was caching the file and not really downloading it. I dont know if i have a olderversion. I just started playing tekkit (any tekkit/technic) just a few weeks ago. I will try using .jar directly instead of the .exe and get back to this thread. Launcher Version: 1.0.1.3 Operating System: Vista Ultimate Java Version: Sun Java 7 Antivirus Program: AVG Description of Problem: Just updated my server to the tekkit 3.1.2 last night. Everything looks great! My friend was able to manualy select the build and log on to the server. I however can not get my launcher to show the 3.1.2 option! This is strange. I have deleted the whole .techichlauncher folder and re downloaded the launcher.exe from your site. To no prevail nothing i do will allow me to see as a option the 3.1.2 mod. The list stops at 3.1.1 (latest build) option. Any ideas or help would be great. Im completely baffled and this is probably a Brain issue. Things ive tried. Clearing the cache. Moved techniclauncher.exe to my desktop. Turned off avg Turned off firewall Completely removed technic from my pc Reinstalled it fresh Ran technicklauncher.exe as administrater and using xp service pack 2 under compatibility mode and with out.( it only ever correctly downloads under the xp service pack 2 ) Tried turning UAC on and off and tried all of the above under both settings. Thanks for any ideas/help to get this working. I realise this may or maynot be a bug. But i would still enjoy finding out what is going on and how my friend (in another state) has had 0 problems and i cant get the option to show. Error Messages: N/a Error Log: N/a
