[Why was Railcraft removed?]

Is there still a way of manually putting railcraft back in? I love this mod and wanted to use tekkit lite too.

Are we definitely sure its being removed? I could only find CovertJaguar's request and a post stating that talks had been underway...

Seems the launcher won't update due to github taking down the repository.
