Turns out, my IPv4 address changed somehow :/

I run a tekkit server off of my computer, and me and my friend play it. It was working fine last night, but now the launch.bat will run fine, but in tekkit, it doesnt show as running(no connection). I use hamachi, and that has always worked fine for me. The only things i have done since we last played are installing Adobe Premiere Elements and trying the Bukkit GUI with it, but the bukkit GUI doesnt add any new files. I also took the raw files from the .zip and launched the server. Again, the .bat ran fine, but I had no luck with connecting

well, I will try that, but I cant really run the mod packs. It will attempt it, but it just runs vanilla MC

I checked, and nothing. But I was in my C drive, so wouldnt it be there no matter what? I've already searched my whole hard drive.

I will try to do what Torezu said and search other user files, but in answer to your questions: The .techniclauncher folder only contains the technic-launcher.jar file, and always has. Yes, I can launch the launcher, but only as administrator. When I try to load up a mod pack, it just opens vanilla/unmodded 1.2.5 or 1.3 depending on whether I try to run Tekkit or Technic. I currently do not get any errors, but it used to crash and say something about the mods being pre-loaded. I deleted the .techniclauncher folder and thats when I believe it started.

My computer is a peice of crap laptop. It wouldnt surprise me if it just decided to screw it up. Sometimes I swear that there is a person in Japan watching me through my webcam, who makes stuff screw up at the worst possible moment.

Yes, but it was working fine yesterday morning. It started when it said "Technic SSP Has an update. Would you like to update?"

I believe so, because thats where my .minecraft is and where the launcher installs to. But there was never any files in the .techniclauncher folder in the first place

I had this same issue at first. Try running as administrator. For me, it would download the launcher if needed, or just say and close out instantly. Hope this helps. EDIT: Oh, and if you don't have anything in your .techniclauncher folder than we are in the same boat.

First off, Yes I am using two anti-viruses, and I have had a very good experience with MalwareBytes. But, I have tried deleteing and reinstalling the launcher PLENTY of times, and it has had no effect on anything.

When I try to load technic or tekkit, it just opens minecraft 1.2.5, since apparently it runs on 1.2.5. My "Select Mods" button is also shaded/greyed out so I cant use that. I was wondering if there is any way to COMPLETELY remove both the Technic Launcher, and all the mods off of my computer so that it is back to the way it was when I FIRST downloaded the launcher? Also, I have nothing in my .techniclauncher folder other than technic-launcher.jar. I have no logs or mods in there, but it was working fine yesterday.
