Having just said that tried it and it worked a treat. I think the problem was instead of waiting for the automatic download i was clicking the mac button and this was giving me an old version. Is this something that needs to be fixed in the future? Thanks again!

Ok, thanks. Only how do I get a more upto date launcher? I only downloaded the launcher for the first time 2 days ago, from the frontpage of the website.

Ok, this may seem like a stupid question but how do I update to Java7u6 on a mac? Not on software update.
