This is not ForgeBukkit, this is BukkitForge. Its still heavily under development and not very stable yet. Either way, several Tekkit Lite servers are already using it.
Oh, I see. BukkitForge=/=ForgeBukkit. Didn't realise the name difference 'til now, or that there were 2 'versions'.
Well, in that case... Will this be the 'backup' plan for Tekkit if ForgeBukkit stops development?

https://github.com/keepcalm/BukkitForge
Found this on the Tekkit subreddit. Thought i'd post this here, in case the admins / mods hadn't found it. But, this opens the discussion of: what will be in the next tekkit!?
Personally, I look forward to whatever they have planned.
EDIT: I did not realise that this was BukkitForge and not ForgeBukkit.. Derp. Oh well.

My god. This turned into a shitstorm.
OP, even using the phrase/word "/thread" is basically the definition of being arrogant. but you're right, that kettle is so black.I guess so. Meh. Only trying to help, after all.
-
Um no, not /thread. I put it in a perfectly understandable way.
Yes, you did. But novice users, you know, the ones that don't know how to use computers very well? They prefer video tutorials. Also, I like them myself.
I'll be honest, every comment i've seen of yours is either negative, or plain arrogant. Or both. So I won't bother with trying to explain anymore. Just because it doesn't fit YOUR needs, doesn't mean it won't help anybody else.
-
You do realise, a LOT of people will not understand what you are talking about. I made this video for people who are unfamiliar, or not knowledgable about scripts/computing. If you can do it a better way, that's fine, do it your way. I did not make this video especially for you, I made it for the world, and it's helped many people. /thread

Title: Internal Server Error - Ender Chest
Version: 3.1.2
OS: Windows 7 Ultimate (x64)
Java Version: 1.7.0_09 - Oracle Corp.
Description of Problem:
NOTE: Version 3.1.3 (No option in the bug report as of the current time)
So yeah, spawning an ender chest gives an 'Internal Server Error'.
And crafting one gives an 'End of Stream' error.
Ender Pouch, however does work.
Might a conflict in CodeChickenCore, however i'm also probably wrong.
Error Messages:
Internal Server Error (Spawn)
End of Stream (Craft)
Error Log:
When crafting: [iNFO] #Player# lost connection: disconnect.genericReason When spawning one: [WARNING] Failed to handle packet: java.lang.NullPointerException java.lang.NullPointerException at net.minecraft.server.ItemStack.setData(ItemStack.java:153) at net.minecraft.server.ItemStack.<init>(ItemStack.java:39) at codechicken.core.PacketCustom.readItemStack(PacketCustom.java:409) at codechicken.nei.NEIServerPacketHandler.handleGiveItem(NEIServerPacketHandler.java:116) at codechicken.nei.NEIServerPacketHandler.handlePacket(NEIServerPacketHandler.java:21) at codechicken.core.CoreUtils.handlePacket(CoreUtils.java:150) at codechicken.core.PacketCustom.recieve(PacketCustom.java:451) at net.minecraft.server.mod_CodeChickenCore.onPacket250Received(mod_CodeChickenCore.java:65) at net.minecraft.server.BaseMod.onPacket250Packet(BaseMod.java:93) at cpw.mods.fml.server.FMLBukkitHandler.handlePacket250(FMLBukkitHandler.java:407) at net.minecraft.server.NetServerHandler.a(NetServerHandler.java:1323) at net.minecraft.server.Packet250CustomPayload.handle(SourceFile:46) at net.minecraft.server.NetworkManager.b(NetworkManager.java:251) at net.minecraft.server.NetServerHandler.a(NetServerHandler.java:106) at net.minecraft.server.NetworkListenThread.a(NetworkListenThread.java:82) at net.minecraft.server.MinecraftServer.w(MinecraftServer.java:569) at net.minecraft.server.MinecraftServer.run(MinecraftServer.java:457) at net.minecraft.server.ThreadServerApplication.run(SourceFile:492)

Updated spoutcraft (via the push notification) and now Technic crashes on attempt to load.
Loads 6 mods, crashes on optifine.

Issue fixed, on a bank holiday. Wow, Sky, wow. Anyway, at least we can all access the site.
-
I lost the will to live after talking to Sky. So... we are still no clearer as to why Sky suddenly stopped access last week
They refuse to look at the problem. They just put the phone down. So basically, they're being complete ****s.
-
I'll contact Sky yet again tomorrow and demand compensation! (For teh lulz) and with them being ratarded, I might get free internetz. Also, I might ask for them to attempt to fix over the phone.
-
It is in fact Sky that is not ready for IPv6, but they aren't admitting it.
You are not alone.
Yeah, I spoke to them about that. The Scottish woman said 'IPv6 is not supported as of yet and I have no idea when it will be.'
So basically... They are hindering my gaming abilities/opportunities... Complain and get free internetz?
-
If path stops at sky's edge and only affects the technicpack.net domain, they're blocking it.
cloudflare.com resolves to the exact same pool of IPs technicpack.net resolve to, so if they had a bad route to the IP it would break the cloudflare website as well.
Contact them again, let them know it's specifically that domain affected by this and none of the other domians on the same host.
If they deny it, offer to send them a screenshot of the tracert results to both technic and cloudflare.
You, Sir, are a top bloke.

That loads up nice and easy like any other webpage.
-
Can connect to router, time out, then connects to easynet.net, then sky, then time out on EVERYTHING else.
It's definitely not my computer as everyone with Sky has the issue.
EDIT: http://puu.sh/XQk4
-
My question is then.... not being the super tech minded guy I would like to be....
Can I still update my Technic launcher? Where do the updates come from? If they are from the same blocked IP (or whatever the issue is), then I am surely now stuck on the version I have.
I'm going to get my ZXSpectrum back out the loft
I'd imagine there may b an issue with this as well, however, changing to dev builds the downloads work fine for me, but i'm not sure about when they push a new update.
-
Technology is getting right up my backside lately... nothing works properly for long
Too true, my friend. Too true...
-
It's only Sky connections so either they fucked up big time (likely) or they did something wrong. (VERY LIKELY)
-
I asked them everything, they have no clue as there is nothing up with their end. I can only assume its a bug/glitch in a system somewhere.
-
I've already made a thread on it, I rang sky earlier today, they said they would attempt to find the issue and resolve is ASAP. (They did say that they couldn't find anything wrong on their end)
I assumed they had blocked it as no error occurred and the server was up and running fine. Maybe the site admins don't like Sky users? :<
-
The problem is with Sky broadband., I assume you are using them as an ISP, yes?
-
Finished on the phone, they have no idea what could be causing the issue, however they did suggest that some sort of security was put into place on the site to block Sky customers... As if that's true, silly sky.
So yeah, I'm still using a proxy and i'll TRY (proxy isn't stable) to get a hold of a technic admin (if possible) and resolve the issue. (Yet again, if possible)
-
UPDATE: I have contacted Sky and they have said that there MAY be an issue on their end. I am currently on the phone checking with them, give me a few minutes and I'll update again.
BukkitForge is up to 1.4.6 - 1.4.7

Oh. Well then.
I imagined the development to be halted, rather than ceased. But, I guess it was to be expected.
