actually smart a** im using the latest .jar from the technic site, but thank you for your pointless and pathetic input. =)

Just uninstall Java, all instances of it in your uninstall programs window via the control panel. then go to the java website oracle and install the latest version of java 6 right now its update 34, not java 7, java 7 has this glitch with a lot of people for some reason. so get Java(JRE) 6 u34 and have only that version installed, make sure you get the 64bit if thats what version of windows you run or 32bit if you have that. Anyways i have windows 7 64bit and the this is what i had to do and the game launched fine for me. Let me know if it works for you =)

THANKS! everyone says update to java7 to fix, NOOOPE! i had to roll back to latest version or java 6 to get technic off the logo and into the log in screen. i recommend this, i bet it will work.
