this is a Java issue. The most common cause is using 32 bit Java. If your Operating system is 64 bit, make sure you update to the latest 64 bit version of Java. Links on www.technicpack.net. If your Operating System is 32 bit, you will most likely have to just use the .jar version until another solution is available. Go to .techniclauncher and there should be a .jar in there. If not then download it from www.technicpack.net. Read further up the list for how to determine the bit version of your OS or JAVA.

I have the same problem...the exe laucher doesn't work but the jar does. I am running XP 32bit no anti virius

Hi thanks for the reply...I want it maily for players...so what you are telling me is to use something like bukkit permissions as the manager? I would imagine that since MC is version 1.1 I would have to have a version of permissions that is compatiable. Allan

Where and how do we set permissions in server 2.0 and 2.1 I notice that a bukkit pesmssion api is loaded but how do we access that?

When running the launcher/server pressing E in the game gives you the inventriy page.....what makes the additional side page containing the various items? is it a plugin?

hi thanks for the reply...I will look at that thread....server does crash even though it is a severe error. Strange part is that it is just happening now...everything was fine last week.

Hi I am frustrated with this, I have installed the 2.0 and the 2.1 servers, not at the same time Both give me an severe error with recipe manager.....I have re downloaded a few times and reinstalled.....still get the errors, I have disabled the plugin and everything works fine, why am I having a recipe manager problem?

many thanks for the suggestions I do have one more...plugins that are usually used in MC 1.1 or 1.2.3 can they be added to the Techkit plugin area? I wish this stuff had of been around in my day.....

Hello I am looking for some help/info I am running an MC server 1.2.3 the usual plugin stuff I am now in the process of running techkit server/launcher I am doing this for my grandson...he is a smart 10 year old. I don;t really play myself just try and do the tech stuff. Is there a guide/map to the system what I mean is what plugins are allowed.....any? where are permissions set etc? I know the request is a little vague but if someone can point a non player in the right direction it would be appreciated thanks PS just when I thought I got my head around MC he comes up with Techkit!!!
