32bit OS, Tekkit, 250mb memory issue FIXED-NO DOWNLOADS OR PATCHING REQUIRED! QUESTION "why cant i get more memory allocated for tekkit?" ANSWER "not sure but heres how i fixed the issue" hello there, So i had this issue also, even when i choose the options to run on 1gb (knowing the 1.5gb option is unstable from other forum threads when running 32bit OS) it was only allowing 250mb. Ater days of searching the net i found no good answer to our issue. So i went into %appdata% and in technic folder to see what i could do from the files there and i did the following. 1. open "techniclauncher" folder 2. open "launcher" properties file (in notepad) 3. when you open this you will see the following: (depending on you last option memory selection) # latestLWJGL: falsememory: 1024retryLogins: falseworldbackup: falserecupdate: truedevupdate: falsemodpack: tekkitcustombuild: '6' (above is edited to see where you need to change memory input) (do not copy and paste, don't be a noob) change the memory to one of the following you desire: 1 GB: 1024 (recommended for 32 bit OS) and works if you been on 250mb 2 GB: 2048 3 GB: 3072 4 GB: 4096 CAUTION!! if you try and be a nutter and allocate more memory then you actually have, then someone should shoot you. as feck all happens. 4. now open the tekkit folder in the techniclaucher folder in %appdata% 5. copy this procedure above for the tekkit "launcher" properties file. p.s both launcher properties (technic & tekkit) should be identical. in terms of memory allocation i waised 4 days of trawling on the net when all you need to do is not be a noob. do a little tinkering here and there don't be a sheep explore these files and fix your issue. hope this works if not keep trying the method.
