good god, thanks for that. right on the front page, as i search for a contact us page......lol

is there an IRC for this game/modpack? it'd be nice to have somewhere to go to ask questions and discuss things. Technic seems to be taking the original minecraft and expanding by adding 4 additional games worth of material, haha
-
Thanks, I'm very new to all of this, and just tried out technic yesterday for the first time. Is the forge irc the appropriate place for discussion of the technic launcher and stuff?
-
so, hypothetically, would they work if we also copied and renamed the appropriate .jar files into the cache folder? also, what about hack n mine?
-
Good point, i just tried and failed to load the others as well. Is there any consensus as to what the issue is? Is it an individual issue on peoples computers, something with the 1.4.2 update, or something on technic/hack n mine/ etc's end?

TECHNICLAUNCHER IS NOT UPDATING FOR ANYBODY
stlcoptony replied to Sakii's question in Technic Launcher
try the advice of this post here, it has worked for several people. also, the login servers are not down, they might have been earlier in the day. they are fine at the moment -
it says minecraft.jar and then update fails
stlcoptony replied to joe wilson's question in Technic Launcher
follow the advice here -
You download the file he links to, rename it to "minecraft_1.2.5" (the .jar will be put there on its own in windows 7) and then copy it to the appdata/roaming/.techniclauncher/cache folder. then run the launcher again
-
Good idea to point that out, i believe it comes down to your folder options and whether you enable seeing the file extension, which is disabled by default in windows 7
-
also confirming this works on windows 7 64bit.
-
Logs are always in the appdata/roaming/.techniclauncher/logs file. look for the one called launcher_0. also try this post here
-
see this post here - solved it for me
-
I think you should try reading this post here - solved this issue for me
-
I was able to fix this with the advice of another post here. Not sure if a better solution will come along
-
Is that for everyone? I am, at this moment, logged into the website and I just started up the plain minecraft game and was able to log in just fine
-
Hope I did that right with the log i posted, the launcher_0 file seemed to be a log of every failed update and when i tried to post it, I got the error of post being over 50000 characters. I edited out the parts of the log without the current timestamp of my last attempt. Is that alright?

stlcoptony replied to joe wilson's question in Technic Launcher
Do we know for sure this is due to the new 1.4.2 update of minecraft? If so, is there any ETA on when we should try back? -
