should i change the name of the new file or just leave it alone and put it in the cached file of .techniclauncher/cache?

ok so i used chrome. i downloaded it and tried to open it and it said a java exception has occurred.(Java virtual machine launcher)

internet explore. what browser would you reccomend. whould google chrome work?

I renamed it and it still wont work:/ ive tried both ways.

I need help. i downloaded minecraft 1.2.5 and renamed it minecraft_1.2.5.jar and placed that file(minecraft_1.2.5.jar) into the .techniclauncher/cache. then i pulled up the technic launcher and put it to tekkit and pressed log in and it downloads minecraft.jar 3 times and at the end of the 3 time it still doesnt work! what am i doing wrong?
