Wrong. If you read my first post I stated that I'm seeing if there are any new/fresh ideas after trying what has already been previously tried on the forums. Yes, it's been out for a few days, I was merely curious if someone has found anything on the subject in those past few days. You're not helping, you're just redirecting me to posts I've already been to. Also, Windows 8 has been out in beta for quite some time, I'm sure someone out there has messed around and found some sort of solution if not the dev team themselves...

I would appreciate some technical help... ya'll need windows 8 support considering it's out already...

As explained, I've already searched forums and done various fixes. That was the first problem I solved and issue continued. This has nothing to do with updates failing. The Tekkit game white screens and crashes after login and never see the Mojang logo appear. I've already read through the stickies and done the fixes they suggested for changing jinput.jar and white screen fixing, but those are still not working on Windows 8.

After trying the "remove meta-inf from jinput.jar" I deleted that and made it redownload to try it with the meta-inf folder in the jar. This time the log gave me something different. Just tried in compatibility mode for Windows 7. Did not work.

Launcher Version: 1.0.2.0 Operating System: Windows 8 Pro 64-bit Java Version: Java 7 Update 9 64-bit Antivirus Program: None Description of Problem: I've already searched forums and done various fixes with java and LWJGL binaries. I'm thinking it's not working because it's running on windows 8. I'm going to try and see if I can run it in compatibility mode and hope that fixes the issue. If anyone else has any ideas on how to get tekkit to properly run on Windows 9 Pro, please let me know, thanks.
