I'm having the same/a similar problem:

Description of Problem: Rotary macerators, when plugged in to an ample energy source, do not attempt to absorb energy. As such, no macerating occurs.

I'm running it off of a filled mfs unit plugged into a spent nuclear reactor (uranium used up etc...). Have tried plugging in to every section of the transformer layout (LV, MV, HV, and straight to the mfs/reactor. nothing happens. the energy meter filled itself up halfway the first time the machine was placed, but afterwards it remains empty.
