Problem Opening The Technic Launcher

Question

Posted

Hey guys, i'm having some trouble opening the technic launcher.

To be honest, it's probably a stupid mistake on my part and i'm just missing it. :/

Launcher/pack Version: 3.0.3

Operating System: Windows 7

Version of Java: 1.7.0_05

Description of Problem: When i open the technic launcher with TechnicLauncher.exe i get the error message described below. I have used technic for a long long time and have only recently started experiencing this problem. Upon searching myself (before i posted here) i saw that in my .TechnicLauncher folder i saw a file called 'Technic_Launcher.jar' When i double click that it created other files, such as Cache, Launcher, Logs, Temp and Launcher.properties. if i remove Technic_launcher.jar it creates itself again. Upon further experimentation i realized that if i moved it to my desktop it would still create a new one in the folder but i could use the on the desktop to play with the technic launcher. However it seems to crash roughly once every 5 minutes, regardless of what part of the launcher i'm using. It's been pretty frustrating and hopefully you guys(and girls) can help me out.

Antivirus program: Norton

Error Messages: "Unhandled exception has occurred in your application. if you click Continue, the application will ignore this error and attempt to contine. if you click Quit, the application will clost immediatley. The System cannot find the file specified."

Following that there is a details pull down, containing information i will post under the paste bin area, as well as 'continue' and 'quit' Upon hitting continue, the launcher is stuck on 'Checking Launcher Version'

Link to pastebin of log:

(Note - i am not sure that this log is related to the problem i'm having) (This file is the one in my logs folder)
