Allocating more ram through the launcher not working

Question

Posted

yogbox was running glitchy at 1gb through the options menu in the launcher so i switch it up to the max 1536MB and start playing, just get enough time to press F3 to see the fps and i see the top right corner saying only 258 MB , it then crashed on me. :L so how can i increase the amount of memory it uses ?? is it a problem with the launcher ?

please help !

if this is in the wrong place to post then shout at me where to go

intel core 2 due E8200 @ 2.66GHZ

4GB ram and 32 bit op ( i know i don't get the full 4 )

launcher 1.0.1.3

using recommended yogbox builds.

That just means that's all it was using. We need a launcher log and a bit of other information (follow the bug report format) to troubleshoot.

sorry, it says the 'allocated' ram is 247 mb ,so using the 1 gb setting gives me 1gb allocated, using the 1.5gb gives 247mb allocated and using the 512 mb gives me 512 allocated. with all three i eventually end up getting the not enough memory screen but the 1 gb works fine if i don't explore like a maniac, will a launcher log really help ? a few weeks back i did edit the amount of ram java could use and i gave it a higher priority as suggested in some youtube videos.

thanks
