Play world > Saving chunks > White screen of crashy doom

Question

Posted

Launcher/pack Version: Launcher version: 1.0.1.3. Pack version: 7.0.1| 1.2.5

Operating System: Windows 7 x64

Version of Java: 6, 64 and 34.

Description of Problem: Both when starting a new world, and when playing a pre-existing world, I get the normal messages of stimulating the world etc., but when that's done, I get the message that the game is saving chunks, then a white screen, whereupon the game ends.

Antivirus program: COMODO, but I had it disabled for this.

Error Messages: None

Link to pastebin of log: http://www.pastie.org/4136798

For the log, I created a new world, had COMODO off, and managed to see the game for less than a second. As in, in-game world, with trees and dirt and all that good stuff.

I was playing fine yesterday, but I decided to try the 7.0.1 version (From playing 6.0.7) and, after downloading everything smoothly, if a bit slowly, letting the launcher do its thing, I try and play again. The world I was on had no mods, so I (After a Michael Bay-worthy internal struggle, full of explosions and flashy lights) decided to delete the cache, and try everything again. Well, that went smoothly and so on as well, but now it seems I can't play. :(

Added: On a second thought, everything went belly-up after I decided to disable Mo' Creatures.. I opened the 'Mod Select' button, found Mo' Creatures, and wrote "off" where previously there was "on". I don't remember if I tried playing after that, or imminently went to upgrade the pack.. but I figure this might be worth noting.

Added2: calsop1 mentioned, in another thread here, that he was having out-of-memory problems with 1.5 GBs of memory allocated to minecraft. When I finish the downloading process, again, I'll try changing mine to 1 GB. Maybe that'll help. :3

I spoke too soon.. I downloaded java and IC2, got everything else ready, replaced the IC2 that was in the mods directory with the new IC2 .jar file, then opened the launcher with the new java.

Didn't work. :(
