Guys,

Just a quick question, Does anyone know if its possible to control one CPU with multiple monitors at the same time?

My ideas is to make a lift with a monitor on the lift to control which level you want to go to. then one on each level to call the lift to you

I have most of it all set up however cannot seam to find out how to control and display all information on all screens

Thanks in advance

It is completely possible, but the only way I've got two monitors to communicate is by separate systems with IO Expanders, and programs will be executed depending on which signal is received from the other computer.

I'm not sure about actually interfacing two monitors using a CPU, though.

You could just stick to butans like the rest of us.

If you use a sonic screwdriver and hold shift then left click it brings up a dip switch menu, if you set the second monitor to like 3 so that 1 + 2 is down then on the cpu change the Console to 3 also and restart, you can then use two monitors, i'm not sure on how to set up 2 or more though, i'm currently having problems with that myself, but thought i'd contribute 2 monitor cpu support :)

I've tried that but it doesn't work.

The redpower wepbage says:

A message addressed to a particular slave address will always be accepted by the closest matching slave to the issuing master' date=' where the distance in question is length of cable between the devices. It is thus safe to place multiple slaves with the same ID on a single Redbus network segment as long as the designer is careful with the geometry of the ribbon cables.[/quote']

I think The_DarthMoogle was correct originally that the only way to do it is with two separate CPUs and I/O Expanders.
