Title: No World Rendering

Version: 3.0.3/3.0.4

OS: Mac OS X Lion: Version 10.7.4

Java Version: Java SE 1.6

Description of Problem:

Whenever I start a world (new or old) in Tekkit, none of the blocks render. There are still sounds and I can still hear when I place and remove blocks. I've tried looking through various folders and jars to see if I'm missing any textures, but I'm not. Has anyone had the same problem, and is there any solution?

Error Messages:

None, as Tekkit doesn't realise that anything's wrong.

Error Log:

I was about to reply by saying I was having the exact same problem, but it seems to have fixed itself.

I'm running Windows 7 x64 and I just connected to my tekkit server (hosted at a different location on another Windows 7 x64 machine) using a fresh install of the technic pack. Nothing would render but i could still move around and interact with the world.

I did a clean restart of the game and opened the launcher again, had some issues with the launcher wanting to start in offline mode, but after a few times starting it worked fine. Once i got into the game everything rendered normally.

The only thing I can think of might be that I set my texture pack to default minecraft before I restarted the game and when I came back things would render again.

Wait, were you using a different texture pack before switching back to the default, or did you just open and close the texture pack window?

Before I connected to the server I set the texture pack from the main menu to the Sphax 128 pixel pack (which takes a while to load). When I logged in I noticed the rendering problem so I attempted to switch to default textures which didn't help.

After restarting and loading the game again still with default textures it worked. Then I switched to Sphax and then it continued to work fine after that.

Well I did notice the render distance was set to tiny. But this was far smaller than tiny, because absolutely nothing would render, not even the ground you are standing on.

Problem solved!

I installed Sphax and it seemed to solve the problem. Also, I did go looking at the render distance afterwards, and Torezu was right. It was turned down all the way behind tiny, but it was on normal for Sphax.

Thanks for all the help!
