Tekkit freezing

Description of Problem:

Tekkit freezing in the first 10 seconds of playing. I just downloaded it for the first time and it froze the second I finish punching down my first tree. Also, the sound is on a default of off and the second I try to change it, the game freezes. I have no idea what to do. I don't know what to put for the error log, and if someone could tell me what to put for that if it is necessary.

The error logs are located in %appdata% into the techniclauncher folder and you should spot logs. But be also more specific such as when it freezes does it freeze the whole game meaning that you have to restart tekkit or just for a bit?

It would freeze the whole game. The weird thing is that it fixed itself and now the same thing is happening to my friend, and I don't know what to tell him.
