Question

Launcher Version: Launcher - 1.0.1.3 Technic - Minecraft 1.1

Operating System: Windows 7

Java Version: Probably not the latest but likely irrelevant.

Antivirus Program: I've been playing technic ssp all day, logged off 2 hours ago for dinner, logged on 30 minutes ago and now every one of my alchemy bags is empty!

There's stacks and stacks of resources in them and I have 8 alchemy bags that hold EVERYTHING so I have everything I need whenever I want it. Literally my whole game runs from them.

My chests all still have items in them, my furnaces, energy collectors, canning machines, MFSU's, body armour, etc... all have items and power in them. I don't know if my teleporter still works because I don't have enough power to test it right now.

My transmution tablets have also lost all the EMC stored in them so it seems to be an EE problem?

Your alchemy bags and transmutation tablet are both linked to your login name, even in single player. If for some reason minecraft.net is down or your login didn't take (it's been giving me fits lately as well), your bags will be empty. As soon as the login works again, the contents will return. If you put anything in them now, when your login works again it will likely be gone.

Thanks very much Torezu.

It did say it can't connect to minecraft.net atm.

I've not put anything in the bags but I have opened 3 of them, will that delete all my items when I can finally reconnect to minecraft.net?

I don't believe so, since they will have registered as new bags under a different player name, but if you're really concerned look in "C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\.techniclauncher\technicssp\saves\[worldname]\data" for bags with your name on them (along with a tablet) and see if they've been changed since after you logged off the last time. You'll probably see some in there with the name "Player" as well. If they've been changed very recently, see if you can restore an old version with Previous Versions (Windows 7 feature). Otherwise, wait until you can log in again.

Thanks again, I just checked them and they're all dated at 6:30pm (it's now 9pm), so hopefully I haven't lost any data :)

One of the bags I haven't used in 2 days apparently...

Thanks for all your help Master Torezu, you're welcome to come to my world for cake and potions any time you wish ;)

As this was such a stupid question to post, and it doesn't have anything to do with the new launcher update, do you think I should remove it?

I don't think you can, and I think it might be worthwhile to leave it in anyway, so people can (hopefully) search for it instead of asking again. It could be moved to the Technic or Tekkit Bug Board, though, if you can get a mod to do so, even if it's not technically a bug.
