After login, game stays on Mojang screen then becomes unresponsive

Java Version: Java SE 7 Update 05

Antivirus Program: AVG Free 9.0

Description of Problem:

I press the login button after choosing the mod, and after downloading everything and whatever it does, the white Mojang screen shows up and then never leaves that screen. After CTRL+ALT+DEL it says that Hack Slash Mine or whatever mod I have chosen is Not Responsive. The only Mod that has worked so far has been Tekkit.

You...are still using Java 6. If you think you're using Java 7, try uninstalling Java 6. Your launcher log says 6u31.

Thank you, I only uninstalled the old Runtime thing. I forgot to uninstall the old java 6 updates.
